Texas-bred girl, De'Asia Matthews vows that she will move out of her abusive mother's house and not become another statistic from the 'hood. Dating the drug dealers in the projects has caused her nothing but heartache. Her mother consistently reminds her that a black girl from the projects does not stand a chance out in the "real world."
