Covers four themes: Ways of relating, Who am I?, Personal connections, and Reaching out to the wider world. Students learn how technology has opened up new possibilities for communication and how non-verbal communication, such as sign language, symbols and braille creates meaning. Examines how people gain an understanding of who they are emotionally, intellectually and physically. Explores immediate and extended families, friendships and romantic attachments. Looks at the importance of connecting with people and cultures that have new or different viewpoints as well as relating to nature and our environment.
