About the Author Dr. Gus Mills is a specialist Scientist with the National Parks Board of South Africa. He has spent more than 20 years studying the ecology and behaviour of large carnivores as well as aspects of the ecology of large herbivores. In addition to many popular articles, Dr, Mills has authored or co-authored more than 50 scientific papers on large African carnivores as well as several on herbivore ecology.
