Author Description

Many of my poems are concerned with the natural environment. A considerable amount, but my no means all, are centred around South Wales which possesses a plethora of stunning scenery. However, I also dwell on lost love and other psychological issues and write about people who have influenced my life in some way. There is undoubtedly melancholia in some of the poems but offset by the wonders of nature. I enjoy nothing more than setting off for the day with my camera, pen and notebook and writing about the scene which entrances my eyes. There is beauty all around us yet some people, tragically, are blind to its presence. I endeavour to make my poems as accessible as possible, finding obscure, pretentious verse rather annoying! Finally, I hope the reader enjoys my little book and, above all, that it inspires their creativity.
