This book aims to introduce the world heritage sites of countries along the Silk Road, so that readers can deeply understand the historical stories and cultural connotations behind these heritage sites, and feel the charm of the "the Belt and Road". The book consists of eight units, introducing the world cultural heritage, natural and cultural landscapes, world intangible cultural heritage, and world memory heritage of ancient Silk Road countries and regions such as China, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, West Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Inner Mongolia, and Egypt. This includes the unique world heritage sites of countries along the ancient Silk Road. The Mogao Grottoes of Dunhuang in China is the largest and most abundant Buddhist art site in the world. The murals and sculptures inside Mogao Grottoes showcase the cultural charm of ancient China with their exquisite artistic techniques and profound cultural connotations.
