Aimed at both advanced composition and better freshman composition programmes, this rhetoric/reader explores variations in the writing process by focusing on three specific types of essays: the exploratory, the analytical, and the argumentative. By examining essays of both students and professionals and through numerous reading snd writing exercises (some sequenced), students should learn what constitutes good writing and thinking.
