Arguments and Clarifications: A Philosophical encounter between J. O. Chimakonam and M. I. Edet on the Ibuanyidandaness of Complementary Ontology with a feature essay by Prof. Innocent I. Asouzu and foreword by Prof. Godfrey O. Ozumba is a scholarly and argumentative treatise made up a three part essays, the second being a critical response to the first and the third being a response to the second in that order. The subject of the debate is the theory of ibuanyidanda ontology as propagated by Prof. Asouzu. J. O. Chimakonam in his essay attempts to question the ibuanyidandaness of the theory with strings of critical objections. In response, M. I. Edet, an advocate of Complementary ontology confronted Chimakonam's objections with equally provocative arguments. On the whole, the book used the tool of philosophy to unearth and shape discourse on African philosophy and thought. It is a must read and this is how philosophy ought to be done.
