It is ideal as a standard medical text for students and physicians in Asia, as well as a reliable resource for physicians and researchers involved in treating Asians in the West. The book aims to outline approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions that are common to the region or its peoples. Each chapter includes an introduction to the basic concepts and current status in a medical specialty such as cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology and rheumatology.
