Vol. 23 of Raven Chronicles Journal celebrates the 20th Anniversary, 1997-2016, of the Seattle-based Jack Straw Writers Program, which was established to introduce regional Puget Sound writers to the medium of recorded audio. Each year an invited curator selects participating writers from a large pool of applicants. This book includes introductions by all twenty curators, and the work of two writers chosen from the writers representing their particular year. The poets, fiction, and nonfiction writers in this anthology include two of the past three Washington State Poet Laureates, Kathleen Flenniken (2013-2014) and Elizabeth Austen (2015-2016).
