Author's Notes: This is the first history book of its kind on Australian Indian History, and has been produced in the hope that it will stimulate interest and debate amongst people who are interested in Australian History. Over the last twenty years or so, Crystal Jordan and Len Kenna travelled across Australia, England and India, researching and collecting photographs from individuals, private and public collections. Many of the photographs collected appear in this work and have been selected to accurately reflect most aspects of Indians living and working in Australia. This book is not a definitive history of Indians in Australia, as Crystal and Len believe that there is still a wealth of information, memorabilia and photographs throughout Australia that will be discovered with further research.
