This little book on a very serious subject is dedicated to the hundreds of brave schoolchildren who lay down their lives to protect our right to bear arms. According to The Washington Post, more than 311,000 students have experienced gun violence at school since Columbine in 1999. Everytown.org notes that "The United States is not the only country with mental illness, domestic violence, video games, or hate-fueled ideologies, but our gun homicide rate is 25 times higher than our peer countries. The difference is easy access to guns. In fact, even within the U.S., states with weaker gun laws and higher gun ownership rates have higher rates of mass shootings." This madness has got to stop.
