Worlds Away is is the illustrated history of Daniel Low’s family. Daniel Low was born in Bohemia, the Western State of the Czech Republic. His parents had been born in Moravia, the Eastern State. The country was a part of the Austrian Empire when his father and his predecessors were born and as far back as could be found by Daniel. With the family living in a country caught up in a number of wars people moved, or were moved from place to place with the final move for Daniel’s immediate family being in 1948 when they migrated to Australia. This photographic essay is interspersed with a series of stories relating to the family and the places they had come from.
