This monograph of the Antwerp artist, Guy van Bossche (1952), is a selection from the impressive oeuvre of works of art which he has realized since the beginning of his artistic career. This does not profess to be a neat linear overview, but rather a quirky dialogue between his figurative painting. His works concern the uneasiness that is peculiar to the human condition, in a way which walks the fine line between the realistic representation and distortion. They exude the pursuit of a balance between lack of restraint and technical command, between realism and transformation. Guy van Bossche is, as it were, a marconist who picks up signals in the visual noise of reality which in the act of painting he transposes into images vibrating with life.0Exhibition: Mulier Mulier Gallery, Knokke-Zeist, Belgium (14.01.2013-28.02.2013).
