Tansy Harris is a terrible mother: the kind who forgets to pick her children up from school and contemplates an affair with her son's teacher. But when she married Max, they'd agreed it wouldn't change them - they'd still be free to do whatever they want, see the world. But they HAVE changed, and Tansy can't cope. To avoid the looming meltdown, Tansy decides the answer is India: to go alone, take stock and return a better person. India turns out to be everything she hoped for. However, when she visits an old backpacker friend who's joined a cult in the south, Tansy finds something terrifying and much bigger than her. She realises, too late, that she's in the wrong place at the wrong time...
