This text places an emphasis on a macro-sociology of everyday life approach and demonstrates how large-scale features of society (social class, social institutions, social inequality) influence peoples social experiences and life-choices. Pedagogical features challenge students to develop their ability to see how they are affected by biographical, societal, and historical forces.
