This transcript is of series of newspaper articles written by John P. Bard. Mr. Bard was the editor of a newspaper in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, called the Curwensville Herald. These newspaper articles were cut and pasted in a scrapbook and acquired by the Clearfield County Historical Society in 1966. The scrapbook was donated in memory of John P. Bard, father of Fred T. Bard from Ardmore, Pennsylvania. To our knowledge, it may be the only existing copy of the articles.--Page iii.
