Magic slinging PI Bram Farrell is roped into test flying a...well, a chicken. A chicken that attracts the attention of a local flock of topless hussy harpies who want it for themselves. So, Bram makes them a deal. They leave the chicken be, and he'll look into the murder of one of their cousins - which means hunt, find and kill the perp usually. He simply hopes he's not the one being hunted, found and killed.If lethal doses of sarcasm don't kill a perp, then magic will just have to do.The Raven Tales prequel novellas have one thing different from the forthcoming Raven Tales novels -- they take place in a different Detroit, Michigan than the novels do. In the prequels, Bram is the lone investigator for Raven Investigations and has a lot more magic at his command than he does in the novels at first. Reason? In the prequels he's still in Fictionland Detroit. In the Novels he's crossed into the "real" world, though the same perps still need to be taken down. The novels arrive in 2019, but the prequels will continue too and be supplimented by other novellas as "between the books" adventures also take place.J.B.
