An illustrated journal for cross-disciplinary studies of iconography, ritual, myth, symbol, and related materials, Mythosphere is analytical and critical in perspective with contributors from many different specialties who present their work accessibly to an educated but non-specialist audience. Issues include essays, reviews, studies of mythic figure/theme/image, theoretical pieces, pedagogical tips, critiques of mythographic schools, texts of mythic and ritual materials, occasional color plates, and many black and white illustrations. Focuses on Native American mythology and the Mexican Virgin Mary.
