Over a year has gone by since Isaac crossed swords with Count Ausger for the Memorite Core. While the teens wait for the final boss, Overlord Illius, Isaac's last nerve is tested with problems both in and outside of his team. With their mentors Chenzo and Delrune away to assist the Shard Knights of space, doubt sets in when all communications with the duo stop. Isaac and the anime obsessed Fiora push for the team to train for the coming battle, but the rest of the crew would rather focus on surviving high school and their problematic parents. Isaac is smacked with his own issues at home when his mom allows his drug addicted father to live with them, then announces that they'll be leaving Mantlestown; all of this just days before the fighting starts! Out of nowhere, Illius's warships break through the winter sky and force Isaac and the others into action in front of their classmates, exposing their secret powers to the entire world. With lives on the line and an ambiguous clue as their only tip to defeating the Overlord, the situation grows more dire by the second. Isaac, Fiora, plus a few new faces, charge into the fray despite the intergalactic conqueror's upper hand.
