Author Description

Photographers, writers, theoreticians or historians of photography offer in this book a series of proposals for reflection on two closely related media. While the exchanges between photography and literature have been little diffused, this book offers the opportunity to discover how both languages have developed in a permanent dialogue. From creativity and thought they write photographers whose activity is close to the literary and the poetic, together with writers for whom the image occupies a relevant space in their works. Sometimes, it is a work of symbiosis between both disciplines around the fiction. Other times, the reader is invited, as is the case with modern literature, to participate and assume a decisive role in the production of visual discourse. Contributions of historical and theoretical character complete an approach to photography and literature as unknown as suggestive.
