A detailed review of the ancient Egyptian language, focusing on grammar and linguistics. Hieroglyphics are discussed only in passing in the opening chapters. Most examples in Egyptian are in the transliterated form. An intermediate to advanced level book, it is not a suitable introduction, but is an excellent next step after reading an introductory book on the subject.
