This book is intended as an overview of some of the musical styles current in America during the 1700s, offering a variety of tunes from around the time of the American Revolution-classical, folk and in-between. This music is arranged from the musical point of view of the 1990s-that is, although most of the melodies are left as they were in the originals(with very few exceptions), the harmonic arrangements are somewhat modern and not strictly historical in nature.
