Samuel Meredith Janes (1793-1870), son of Samuel and Mary Janes, was born in Glastonbury, England. He married Anna Bond and immigrated to Ontario in the 1830's. Descendants lived in Ontario, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and elsewhere.
