Product Description Zwischen 1854 und 1914 war die katholische Kirche in einer bitteren Auseinandersetzung mit einer modernen Welt im Umbruch begriffen. Die wohl bekannteste Polarisierung resultierte in «Ultramontanismus» und «Modernismus». In die gleiche Zeitperiode fallen unterschiedlichste Bemühungen, eine katholische Literatur zu schaffen, die in dieser Auseinandersetzung katechetische Funktion übernehmen konnte.
