The purpose of the research was to: document the value of the indigenous approach to rehabilitation of inmates and their whānau, provide the Trust with on-going information and feedback to make improvements and changes to their activities and directions, and lastely there was a need to establish the magnitude of the programme's impact on offending behaviour.
