Product Description Place for Us is a picture book series about persons with special needs. Drawn from real-life experiences, each story elaborates the true meaning of embracing and empowering those with special needs and the importance of social inclusivity, inspiring many to unveil their abilities. These are encompassed through simple stories with positive messages and beautiful illustrations, aimed to build respect, empathy and acceptance in young readers. One Step At A Time Vijay has his first job training and workplace experience at a famous hotel restaurant. Whenever he feels that he cannot cope with the amount of work, he reminds himself to take one step at a time. Things go well for him until an incident happens at the restaurant. About the Author Lianne Ong stumbled upon writing books for children after several years of being a freelance writer. Her first book, Maxilla, a story about her son, was published in 2013. It received Second Prize at the Samsung Kidstime Author s Award in 2016. Lianne is best known for her Stacey & the Museums series, which was published in collaboration with museums in Singapore. Stacey Goes to the National Museum (2014 edition) and Stacey Goes to the Peranakan Museum, received the Second Prize award at the Samsung Kidstime Author s Awards 2015. She also wrote Timmy & Tammy Discover: Singapore Hawker Food, a useful resource on hawker food and the only non-fiction book of its kind for children in Singapore. Lianne has degrees in Southeast Asian Studies and International Relations. She resides in Singapore with her husband and two children.
