My name is Crash. Crash MacRae. I was born to drive: any car, anywhere, for any reason. This weekend I'm trying my hand at endurance racing out at Sears Point Raceway in something called 24hrs of Lemmons. Until two days ago, I'd never heard of it. Then I got the call from my buddy Squirrel. His team had come up a driver short and he asked if I'd like a seat at the wheel. It's there, at the track, I begin affairs with sisters - twins. One older, rich, worldly. The other, much younger, earthy, a phantom. She's been dead longer than I've been alive. Together they lead me down a rabbit hole of lust, perversion, love, and betrayal. My friends say I matured that year. They say I became responsible, respectable, and generally ceased fucking things up. They swear it was the affairs that changed me from the immature, irresponsible, twenty-five-year-old boy into the man I am today. This is my story of that winter.
