Etc. And of those which treat of the manage ment in the first instance of cases of emergency, only such new matter being added as is required to give some sort of continuity to the extracts. While I am anxious that the book should not pretend to be anything but a reprint, I yet hope that within its own limits it is fairly complete, and' that it will prove to be useful to students when they begin their work in the wards and casualty rooms, and useful also to surgical nurses and probationers.
