Author Description

The book is a collection of articles by Russian thinker, biologist and writer N.Ia. Danilevskii (1822-1885) which may be considerered as a supplement to his famous book "Russia and Europe". Bestuzhev-Riumin called this book " one of the best of our time". Danilevskii presented his original theory of cultural and historic types that is rooted in likening a nation with a person. The artocles collected in the current publication deal with geopolitical issies of the 18th century: German-French war, Russian-Turkish was for the liberation of Bolgaria, resistance to constitionalism, critics of nihilism, and comparative analysis of spiritual differences between Ortodoxy and catolicism (0.455 kg.)
