The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) received a management request for a health hazard evaluation (HHE) at an indium-tin oxide (ITO) production facility in Rhode Island. The company submitted the request because of the potential lung toxicity of indium compounds. NIOSH's findings and recommendations are discussed.
