On the basis of maintaining the essence of Lao Tzu's original thought, the de Dao Jing rearranged the order of chapters, or "Reconstructed" its text structure. This reconstruction is not random, but based on the in-depth study and comparison of various editions of the Tao Te Ching and ancient and Modern Annotation editions, trying to make the new edition easier for readers to understand and more accurately convey Lao Tzu's philosophy and its value of the times. In the classic of virtue and Taoism, the chapter on Tao is included in the chapter on Tao, and the chapter on morality is included in the chapter on virtue. Based on the framework of "Tao is divided into two states" (the initial state of "nameless" and the formation state of "famous"), the Taoist chapter focuses on how to divine the beauty of "nameless" and how to perceive the Tao in the state of "famous". The chapter of virtue is guided by "virtue is divided into upper and lower levels", discussing the upper and lower levels of virtue, as well as the "benevolence, righteousness, etiquette and faith" after the "loss of virtue", focusing on how saints, kings and people should deal with the world. In addition, the Sutra of morality and Taoism also pays attention to the accuracy and fluency of the translation. Combining with the version of Guodian Chu bamboo slips and the silk version of Lao Tzu unearthed from Mawangdui Han tomb, great efforts have been made in the translation to maintain the style of writing of Lao Tzu in the spring and Autumn period, so that readers can feel the charm of the original when reading. Generally speaking, the classic of morality and Taoism is not only faithful to the original thought, but also convenient for modern readers to understand. Through the rearrangement and analysis of the original work, it helps readers to have a deeper understanding of Lao Tzu's philosophy and feel its time value.
