Product Description This book uses 20 practical scenarios to tease out and provide a clear understanding of the legal and ethical issues in blood transfusion practice that confront clinicians on a daily basis. The authors have contributed a great wealth of knowledge to this book from their own experiences for which regular physician and lawyer trainings seldom prepare. Take-home messages elegantly summarise the key points. This book will interest medical practitioners, medical students, nurses, lawyers, patients and the general reader. Review It is a pleasure to commend this book. The clinical case scenarios were particularly good and appropriate... It should succeed in its mission of giving 'the right blood to the right patient for the right reason'... This book should find a place for itself on the shelves of every medical library. --Professor Ong Yong Yau, President, Singapore Medical Council About the Author Catherine Tay is an Associate Professor lecturing law in the Business School of the National University of Singapore (NUS).
