Author Description

This insightful and unique symposium assembles leading researchers from a variety of disciplines working with an even larger variety of organisms and systems together in one place. The goal is to understand the common features of chromosome behavior, mechanisms for their distribution, and errors in their transmittal. Incorporated in this work are the results of that symposium exploring the chromosomal components, with specific topics focused on defining the centromere and the kinetochore.
