The four New Testament Gospels can be approached from very different perspectives and with very different methods. This book offers a readable and illuminating survey of them, based on years of teaching university students. Brief theoretical introductions are followed by a selection of illustrations, which are meant to serve as encouragement to a personal exploration. This book is meant for students in higher education, clergy and church leaders, and those involved in Bible groups, as well as the general reader.
