
A series of eighteen related monologues spoken by imagined residents of two rural towns in Western Tennessee which treat of the exploits of several of their most notorious and celebrated residents. The monologues were composed over three years in 1966-68. Several have been published in magazines and journals before and since their collection as The Bundle of Snakes.
