The June 1991 symposium in Thredbo, NSW, Australia, brought together people from medicine, sports, resort management, and equipment manufacture and sales, to discuss aspects of skiing accidents. The 24 papers cover alpine skiing epidemiology, the biomechanical and physiological aspects of skiing, bindings, the safety of ski areas, and injuries in related sports such as snowboarding, ski jumping, and tobogganing.
