This 318-page volume contains 69 papers presented at the 29th Vertebrate Pest Conference, held March 2-5, 2020, in Santa Barbara, California. Papers describe and report on research, management, or philosophy regarding human-wildlife conflicts (also referred to as "wildlife damage management") involving a wide variety of species, primarily birds and mammals. While emphasis is on human-wildlife conflict in North America, papers and participants deal with such conflicts on a world-wide basis. This volume includes papers from a symposium on "Island Invaders" that describe methods and case histories of ridding islands of non-native rodents and other introduced species, for the purpose of protecting native flora and fauna and restoring healthy ecosystems.
