Published by the Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (SCAF) in partnership with Queensland Art Gallery for 'The view from elsewhere', an exhibition of film, video and installation works reflecting contemporary moving image practice from South-east Asia to the Middle East. In addition to texts by Kathryn Weir (Curatorial Manager, International Art and Australian Cinémathèque) and Mark Nash (Head of Curating Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art, London), the publication includes an annotated and illustrated list of works. Artists featured include Shaarbek Amunkul, Mona Hatoum, Kimsooja, Lee Wen, Qiu Zhijie, Nam June Paik and Apichatpong Weerasethakul and more.
