Author Description

Introduces a feminist approach to counseling and psychotherapy of women. Among the issues discussed are the special problems of women in a therapeutic setting, sex-role socialization, inadequacies of contemporary theory and practice in addressing women's lives, the development of alternative approaches to conceptualization and intervention with women. Both authors are feminist clinicians with experience in the teaching, research and practice of counseling and psychotherapy with female clients.
