The Pregnancy Project is the story of one woman's quest to have a baby, a search that leads her to new ways of viewing concepts, telling stories, and constructing fertility myths in this technological age. Propp relates her own experiences with infertility treatment. After speaking with women across the country about fertility problems, she was able to also weave other women's stories into her own. She describes a range of reproductive technology techniques, including artificial insemination, in vitro fertilization, and the use of donor eggs.
