Gemma Galgani was a girl filled with a fervent desire to become a saint--to be fully dedicated to Jesus. She soon realized, though, that desire was not enough--that she was required to engage her will in order to fulfill her desire. And so she began to do just that, and because of her change of heart and burning devotion, she was given every divine assistance until she accomplished her goal.
