About the Author Crispin Gallegher Sartwell is an American philosophy professor, journalist, and the author of several books. Currently a member of the faculty of Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he lives in rural Pennsylvania. John Lachs is Centennial Professor of Philosophy at Vanderbilt University.
