Begins with an introduction on how to examine horses for health problems, then presents information on management of internal parasites, risk factors and symptoms of infectious diseases, preventing infectious diseases by vaccination, common medical problems such as colic, common lameness problems, and miscellaneous conditions such as hernias and wounds. Suggestions for prevention and/or treatment of problems are provided.
