The objective of this book is to enable the organization to accomplish better security to the IT systems that store, process, or transmit organizational information and enable management to make well-informed risk management decisions to justify the expenditures that are part of an IT budget. Risk management is an increasingly important business driver and stakeholders have become much more concerned about risk. Risk may be a driver of strategic decisions, it may be a cause of uncertainty in the organization or it may simply be embedded in the activities of the organization.
