Author Description

Monica is a writer for a local newspaper and her advice column is slipping until she watches a movie and it hits her: Is Romance Dead? She takes this idea to her editor and receives a letter about a man proposing to his girlfriend in a fast food restaurant. With the idea and letter in her hand, she takes off with the column and it takes on a life of its own! With the help of her friends, well most of them, they all tackle this “romance” thing together all while dealing with their own personal drama: cheating husbands, down low brothers, women who are sugar mamas, domestic violence, and baby mama/daddy drama. Her column provides some real insight as to what is missing from relationships these days and it reveals some clarity about what women/men want. During this time, she also develops a relationship with a secret admirer that makes her question this very topic. But will she receive a true answer to her question: is romance really dead?
