Author Description

Delilah is a dog that has just been adopted into her new forever home. She is scared and unsure until she meets the other animals in her new home. She meets Molly, a three-legged beagle and Shadow a cat. She also meets Maggie, a beagle that has arthritis that makes it difficult for her to go on the family walks, so she travels in a purple wagon. While Delilah is being shown around her new home, it is discovered that Helga, a chicken, is missing. Maggie, Molly, Shadow, and Delilah all hop into the purple wagon in order to follow the trail of feathers that lead to the barn. They meet pigs, a horse, and a cow with her calf while following the trail. Along the way, they learn there is a fox in the barn. They hear Helga squawking for help in the hay loft and Delilah is the only one that can climb up safely and save the chicken. She springs into action and saves Helga. She quickly becomes a beloved addition to the family and is glad she has found her forever home.
