Author Description

The New Resonance series, published biennially since 1999, presents the work of newly emerging poets working primarily in English-language haiku in sufficient quantity for the reader to get a sense of their individual voices. Edited by Jim Kacian and Dee Evetts, both highly-acclaimed poets working in the genre, it has become a showcase for the future of haiku, and appearance within its pages is highly contested. Each volume contains the work of 17 poets. Volume 5 includes poems by Francine Banwarth, Collin Barber, Janelle Barrera, Robert Bauer, David Boyer, Helen Buckingham, Curtis Dunlap, Keiko Izawa, Bill Kenney, Marcus Larsson, Scott Metz, Andrew Riutta, Dave Russo, Sandra Simpson, Dietmar Tauchner, Petar Tchouhov, and Harriot West.
