This work offers guidance and insight into the key features of the town and country planning system, and the process of obtaining planning permission for the development of land. Procedural advice is given on the making of applications for planning permission, and the process of making an appeal to the Secretary of State for the Environment in the event that planning permission is refused by the local planning authority. Advice is also provided in relation to associated procedures, including responding to enforcement proceedings. This edition takes into account the Environment Act 1995 and the Local Government (Wales) Act 1994, as well as changes in delegated legislation.
