A child with gifts unique to the galaxy is compelled to save dirty old Earth. However much of Earth doesn't want to be saved. The powerful nations will not let go of their nukes easily, and they certainly don't want the United Nations to have a Navy. Which nations will accept the conditions, embrace the technology, and get a spacefaring jump on their neighbors? Aliens also want the child's goodies. The aliens include: 1) the Txeans, a race of cowards who acquire technology through theft if possible, 2) the Fermis simply conquer every inhabited system and take what they want, 3) Xellians are jello like aliens who have been stealing humans since the days of the early Egyptians, 4) Terminus is an ancient AI and has a legion of energy vampire robots, 5) our venerable saucer people like E.T., and 6) Builders, beings resurrected from Mars.
