
Interventions by younger contemporary artists* are shown alternately in the context of the collection presentation of the Ludwig Museum Koblenz. With the presentation 'Muy mucho' by the artist Janus Hochgesand, new dialogues and changes of perspective arise within the museum?s own permanent collection, challenging the viewer to see in a new way. His high intensity paintings ? as he himself puts it ? comprehend themselves from their own materiality, their apparent fleetingness and at the same time emotional condensation.00Janus Hochgesand, born 1981 in Dierdorf, studied at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe with Prof. Andreas Slominski from 2002 -2004, at the Esmeralda Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado in Mexico City with Prof. Sofia Taboas in 2005 and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt with Prof. Tobias Rehberger from 2005 ? 2009. He has received numerous awards and scholarships, including the Hamburg Travel Scholarship for the Burkhard Vernunft Residency, Torria (2018), the Rhineland-Palatinate Scholarship for the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris (2011), and the 2009 Städelschule Graduate Award.
